THURSDAY 28TH DECEMBER, 2023 – TAILOR MADE FITS & HAIRDO, AFROFUTURE FEST
*Morning with a tailor to select your style and material for your Ghana made clothes (pay out of pocket for your attire) with price depending on what you choose and how soon you want it completed.

*Continue to the salon to meet your beautician who will introduce you to some Ghana hair services such as the popular braids, wigs, frontal installation and many more. If you need a clean haircut, manicure and pedicure this will also be offered at your cost. Return to your hotel to refresh and get ready for your first day of AfroFuture Fest formerly Afrochella festival. You will be at the VIP section at the grounds.

*Arrive at the event to the art and picture opportunities before the evening music festival begins. Be entertained by seasoned African musicians serving you with songs from genres such as Afrobeats, Highlife, Amapiano, Kwaito, Hiphop, Reggae & Dancehall, Hiplife, R&B and many more. Return to your hotel safely to relax.

FRIDAY 29TH DECEMBER, 2023 – CITY TOUR OF ACCRA, AFROFUTURE FEST

*This morning begins with an introduction to the history of Ghana’s independence with a visit to Kwame Nkrumah Monument and Independence Square.
*Continue with stops at Jamestown & Ussherfort the oldest districts in Accra, Makola Market in central Accra for a wide array of products sold, shopping and drumming lessons at Arts Center, Pan African Culture at W.E.B Du Bois Center.

*End your tour at the VIP AfroFuture grounds to continue your art and music festival experience. Friday night in Ghana is super fun and people who enjoy the nightlife will have the best of it on this day. Your guide will be with you to ensure you are safe and you get to simply enjoy yourself.

SATURDAY 30TH DECEMBER, 2023 – BOTI FALLS, AKAA FALLS, AFRO NATION FESTIVAL

*Morning pick-up from your hotel for a day of fun with nature in the rich vegetation town of Koforidua.

*First stop will be at Boti waterfalls which is a twin waterfall which comes from two rivers (a male and female which according to a local myth a rainbow is formed when they come together). The next waterfalls to stop over will be Akaa falls which is approximately 7km from Boti falls and it takes its stream from the Boti River also.
*Return drive to Accra, stopping to enjoy a sweet alcoholic local drink made from palm tree called palmwine. Arrive in Accra to refresh and get ready for the colorful Afro Nation, the urban Afrobeats festival.

SUNDAY 31ST DECEMBER, 2023 – GHANA COOKING CLASS, NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY

Morning visit to the market to get your cooking ingredients with Auntie K (your cooking class host) who will show you how we shop for our Ghana ingredients. Learn how to bargain in a local market in the process.

*Continue to the family home of Auntie K to begin with a Ghana cooking lesson comprising different local dishes such as jollof rice, waakye with beef stew, banku with okra stew, boiled plantain or yam with cocoyam beef stew, fufu with light soup, groundnut soup, palmnut soup, beans and plantain among others (you will decide what you wish to cook on the day).

*Return to your hotel to refresh and get ready for your Ghana NYE party after enjoying what you have cooked at your cooking class. Arrive at Labadi Beach for your party on the beach celebrating the end of the year 2023 crossing into 2024 dancing to the great music selections by the DJ (Pay out of pocket for drinks and meals at the event).

MONDAY 1ST JANUARY, 2024 – GIVE BACK PROJECT (DONATIONS) DAY
*Morning relax at your hotel after your NYE party on the beach. Reflect on what the new year of 2024 has to offer and make your resolutions for it.

*Depart hotel at a convenient time, shopping for the kids at the orphanage with items such as exercise books, pencils, note books, coloring books, pencil sharpeners, pencil bags, erasers, compass set, story books, food items, toiletries and provisions etc. Alternatively you are allowed to get some supplies from your country and travel with it to Ghana.

*Continue to an orphanage in the Dodowa area to participate in our Give Back Project which helps this orphanage in providing for the children there. After spending time with these children and the supplies delivered, we return back to Accra after a fulfilling time to enjoy the rest of the day.

TUESDAY 2ND JANUARY, 2024 – CAPE COAST CASTLE, DOOR OF RETURN CEREMONY, KAKUM NATIONAL PARK, TRADITIONAL NAMING CEREMONY
*Meet your guide for your Homecoming day trip. Early morning travel from Accra to the coastal town of Cape Coast with a first stop at Ghana’s highest canopy walkway at Kakum National Park which is a joy for bird watchers in the morning with so many species to spot.

*Return to Cape Coast to tour the U.N Heritage site of Cape Coast Castle which was one of the major slave castles in the Gold Coast era. Take a tour of the castle with all the history being told by a professional tour guide on site. Those of African diaspora can participate in the “Door of Return Ceremony” which signifies your return to your roots in Africa.

*Visit a family home to have your traditional naming ceremony with drumming and dancing. End your tour in the fishing village of Elmina with fishermen coming to the shores with their catch from the sea. View the first European slave-trading post in all of sub- Saharan Africa, Elmina Castle (pay extra to have a tour of the castle). Also visit Fort San Jago and have a walking tour of the town of Elmina with stories from locals and their daily lives. Return coastal drive to Accra arriving before dark.

WEDNESDAY 3RD JANUARY, 2024 – SAFARI VALLEY ECO PARK RELAX DAY

*Depart by mid-morning from Accra to the unique Safari Valley Eco-Park in the lush Akwapim Range. Be welcomed by the friendly staff at the eco-park with a freshly squeezed juice on arrival. Continue with a guided experiential tour of the resort in an eco-friendly cart.

*Get ready in your Ghana made attire from your tailor for a professional photo shoot session which will be edited and uploaded onto a cloud to be accessed by only the guests on the tour. These pictures promise to be one of the ways you will always KEEP GHANA IN YOUR HEART.

*We will visit a shop with shopping potential or a favorite area you wish to go to in Accra to wrap up your time in Ghana as we continue to the Kotoka International Airport. Say your goodbyes to the beautiful sunny weather of Accra and friends made in Ghana during your trip. Arrive at the airport to check-in 3 hours before your flight.
